Piedmont Baptist Church, built over 30 years ago, was in the need of renovation and a new beginning. The vision for the church was to become a center piece of central Cobb County and be a catalyst to reach out to the community. A new character for the church was in order; a comfortable, welcoming lodge atmosphere.
CROFT worked with the church team to determine the scope of renovation and expansion, including much needed repairs. A new main entrance was established, functionally fixing a problem, while more importantly supporting the vision and creating the external image for Piedmont Church’s new beginning. In addition, new amenity spaces were created: a combination bookstore and coffee shop, a special event room to welcome visitors which also functions as a bride’s room, and more comfortable gathering areas. All this was accomplished on a limited budget, working through construction pricing from the start.
