Full AE design for a new visitor center and marina built to withstand 175 mph winds and a 15-foot storm surge. The elevated 4,800 SF facility includes law enforcement and administrative offices, interpretive exhibits, retail space, kayak rental/launch facilities restrooms, and elevated veranda for shaded viewing of the Chokoloskee Bay. Marine construction included the replacement of an existing seawall, bulkhead, fuel system, and floating docks as well as marina dredging and the design of living shoreline.
