The new 100,000 SF, $23M office headquarters for the Cobb County School District includes a two-story renovated building connected to a new four-story building. The connection between the two buildings is a new identity, the main entrance, the central security area, and the new state-of-the-art conference center. Based on key departments’ operational needs and their adjacencies with other departments, a unique theme was established highlighted by the staff’s desire for interaction opportunities in semipublic collaborative work zones. A balance of traditional private conference areas and offices was also created, centralizing the department’s improved interaction between staff.
