Recent student population increases at Coastal Carolina University required a $9.8 million expansion for the Humanities, Math, English, History, and Business Departments. PMH | CROFT designed the 48,996 SF building to include 103 administrative offices for general faculty and department chairs, conference rooms and support spaces, 12 multi-use classrooms, and three auditorium-style classrooms. The facility incorporates advanced tech in the classrooms and a coffee/bagel shop on the first floor to improve student and faculty experiences. Brittain Hall, located at a major pedestrian intersection, includes pass-through structures for inner campus connectivity with a gateway feel.
