City of Myrtle Beach Fire Station #4 is an adaptive reuse of a dated USAF Motor Pool building on the decommissioned Myrtle Beach Air Force Base. The 23,798 SF building was converted to house Fire/Rescue apparatus, a Hazmat Unit, and a Public Education Training Unit. The $1.6 million renovation also added a City of Myrtle Beach Police Substation with an Emergency Operations Center and room for police motorcycles, rescue watercraft, and SORT equipment.
