The Georgia Department of Natural Resources (DNR) desires to develop a new concept for the replacement of the existing Wildlife Center and Discovery Zone and adjacent pavilion. The project is to be located near the current facility and is to be sized to meet the growing needs for an increased capacity for animal care, classroom facilities, exhibit space, and discovery zones, and storage. The facility includes an exterior pavilion sized to suit classroom size of approximately 30 students with bathroom facilities. Also included is a new parking areas and accessible routes design to meet parking requirements for staff, guests, and school busses. Conceptual design documents are needed to be submitted as part of a grant application.
