CROFT conducted full AE design to support the conversion of a conventional classroom building into a 6,500 SF Sensitive Compartmentalized Information Facility (SCIF) command center for US Army Intelligence & Security in Fort Gordon, GA. Located adjacent to an existing SCIF, the project was designed to ICD-705 standards and included a facility assessment, cost estimate, HVAC system retrofit, electrical, fire protection, lighting, doors, floors, hallway, interior/exterior finish modifications, sound control, antiterrorism/force protection measures (ATFP), and electronic communications protection. The raised floor facility included a SCIF conference room, controls room, and state‐of‐the‐art video conferencing command center.
