This new 5,500 SF Welcome Center will be replace the existing aging center. The facility is designed with influences of the Appalachian foothills, including stacked stone, heavy timbers, a high sloping, central gabled roof, flanked by low sloping shed roofs. The center will include Information Desk, Park Offices, open Retail Area, Interpretive Center, Museum, Animal Display and Restrooms. The entrance drive will be widened and relocated to accommodate two lanes of traffic.
