The intent of the University of West Georgia’s Alumni House project is to repurpose the former University President’s residence into a multipurpose Alumni Event Center. New catering kitchen, expanded dining areas, and improved accessibility allows the facility to support larger gatherings indoors. New exterior improvement features include an expanded courtyard terrace and a masterplan for a future pavilion with restrooms and conditioned event staging space. These enhancements will accommodate large events such as weddings and alumni gatherings. New sidewalks will create an accessible path to the vast presidential lawn. The lawn area is available for much larger special events with space to erect big event tents capable of serving hundreds of guests.
